Title: Woman in striped dress, holding a fan Year: between 1885 and 1910 Photographer: Harper, Alvan S., 1847-1911. Courtesy of Alvan S. Harper collection from Florida Memory, State Library & Archives of Florida, www.floridamemory.com.
In this photo, taken between 1855 and 1910, a fashionably dressed woman holds a decorative fan. The dress, with it matching stripes, looks as if it had been made by an excellent dressmaker, perhaps the woman herself. Photo was taken in a Tallahassee, Florida studio.

I love how tall she looks and that she is wearing those stripes!
